Wow!! Where did all the hype around this book come from? Who published it? Was there an editor involved?Ive read thousand of books in about 30 years and this ranks up there as the biggest pile of trash ever published to paper. I suggest the author (the name escapes me), hangs up her pen and sticks to shrinking heads on a couch (I believe she is a psychologist).The idea of time travle requires some suspension of belief, but the whole set-up here is preposterous. The plotting is thin and pathetic. One character comes across a body and in order to find out more decides to infiltrate one of the most discrete companies in the world....and how does she decide to do this? Oh, she will just randomly apply apply for a job and after some vague questions and one silly test, she is employed and allowed full access to deep classification stuff. Come on!! From here it just gets worse and worse. Characters are weak and one dimentional and are just words on paper...characteristics and traits are inconsistent.Anyway....thats my thoughts. I believe this is a waste tof time and effort. Id rather read kindergarten writing exams. Weak writing, incredibly weak. I really wanted to love The Psychology of Time Travel. What’s not to love about time traveling scientist grandmothers? Sadly, this reads more like a thought experiment than a novel. The characters are one dimensional, the mystery marginal, the pace drags. I had to force myself to slog through it. In the end, a great concept isn’t enough to overcome plain old mediocre writing.
